Effective Date: October 27, 2026
DriveLedger ("DriveLedger", "we", "our", or "us") is a vehicle and driving utility application that provides features such as driving speed monitoring, trip distance and cost tracking, fuel calculations, maintenance reminders, logbook records, driving statistics, and performance testing.
This Privacy Policy explains what information DriveLedger may access, how that information is used and stored, and your choices regarding the information used by the application.
DriveLedger may access or process the following categories of information depending on the features you use.
DriveLedger uses your device's location services and GPS to provide driving-related features.
Location information may be used to:
Location access is required because GPS information is an essential part of DriveLedger's driving and performance features.
DriveLedger does not intentionally use your precise GPS location for advertising or advertising personalization.
DriveLedger may store information generated while you use the application, including:
This information is used to provide the features and calculations available in DriveLedger.
You may voluntarily enter information such as:
DriveLedger does not require an account or password for its core functionality.
DriveLedger is designed to store driving settings, logbook information, maintenance information, and performance records locally on your Android device.
Unless a particular feature explicitly states otherwise, DriveLedger does not upload your driving records, GPS history, logbook entries, or performance history to a DriveLedger-operated server.
If you uninstall DriveLedger, locally stored application data may be removed by Android.
You are responsible for maintaining your own backups if you need to preserve locally stored information.
Some DriveLedger features require driving tracking to continue while the application is not visible on the screen.
For example, you may start a drive and then use another application while DriveLedger continues tracking the trip.
When background tracking is enabled and the appropriate Android permissions have been granted, DriveLedger may continue accessing location information in the background for driving-related functionality.
Background tracking is intended to operate only while the relevant driving/tracking functionality is active.
You can control location permissions through your Android device settings.
DriveLedger displays banner advertisements using Google AdMob, an advertising service provided by Google. Advertisements help support the development and maintenance of the application.
In connection with serving advertisements, Google AdMob and its associated services may collect or process certain information automatically. Depending on your device, settings, consent choices, the app's configuration, and applicable requirements, this may include device identifiers or advertising IDs, IP address, approximate location inferred from the IP address, app and advertisement interactions, diagnostic information, and information used to detect invalid activity or improve advertising delivery.
Google may use this information to deliver, measure, and improve advertisements, prevent fraud and abuse, and provide personalized or non-personalized advertising as permitted by its settings and applicable law. The information processed by Google is subject to Google's own terms and privacy practices.
DriveLedger does not intentionally send your trip records, logbook entries, maintenance records, or saved performance history to Google for advertising. DriveLedger also does not intentionally use your precise GPS location for advertising personalization. However, the advertising SDK may independently process technical information as described above.
You may be able to manage advertising personalization or reset/delete your advertising ID through your Android device's settings, depending on your Android version and available controls. Where required, advertising consent choices may also be presented in the app.
DriveLedger uses Google AdMob to display banner advertisements and may rely on Android or Google services for other app functionality. These third-party services may process information under their own privacy policies and terms.
For information about Google's data practices, please review Google's Privacy Policy and the relevant Google AdMob information.
DriveLedger does not control the independent data practices of third-party service providers. The information they process depends on their services, your settings, and the app's configuration.
DriveLedger itself does not intentionally collect personal information such as your name, email address, contacts, SMS messages, phone call contents, or personal photographs for its core driving functionality.
The Google AdMob SDK and other third-party services may process technical or advertising-related information, as described in the Advertising and Third-Party Services sections of this policy. DriveLedger's own handling of this information may differ from the handling carried out independently by those providers.
DriveLedger does not intentionally collect the following information for its own purposes:
DriveLedger does not sell your personal information or driving records to third parties. However, Google AdMob may collect or share certain device, advertising, and usage information with Google and its service providers for advertising delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and related purposes, subject to Google's policies, your settings, and applicable law.
DriveLedger does not currently operate a cloud service that uploads or stores your driving history, GPS history, logbook records, or performance records on DriveLedger servers.
Information may be disclosed when required by applicable law, legal process, court order, or governmental request.
DriveLedger takes reasonable measures to protect information stored by the application.
Driving records and application settings are primarily stored locally on your Android device.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You should protect your Android device using appropriate security measures such as a screen lock and current operating-system security updates.
Because DriveLedger primarily stores driving records and settings locally on your device, those records generally remain on the device until you delete them using available application functionality, clear the application's data, uninstall DriveLedger, or otherwise remove the stored application data through Android.
DriveLedger does not currently maintain a server-side copy of your local driving records or performance history.
DriveLedger is not specifically designed for children.
DriveLedger does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children for its own purposes.
Depending on your Android version and applicable laws, you may control application permissions through your Android device settings.
These controls may include:
You may revoke permissions through Android settings. Revoking required permissions may prevent certain DriveLedger features from functioning.
We may update this Privacy Policy when DriveLedger's features, third-party services, or legal requirements change.
When changes are made, the updated policy will be published at the privacy policy URL associated with DriveLedger.
The Effective Date at the beginning of this policy indicates when the current version became effective.
